BUSYNESS
A Momentary Lapse of Reason
The
publication BUSYNESS | A momentary lapse of reason addresses the evident necessity of
productivity for each individual in order to be considered a valuable part of
society.
The topic of compulsory efficiency is examined illustratively and through lyrical texts. The subtitle A momentary lapse of reason alludes to the price we pay in order
to call ourselves busy and thereby insist on our justification to exist within
the aforementioned structure. Being busy has exceeded its character of a mere
descriptive term to the extent that it has established itself
as a status symbol - because what are we if not busy?
