For the representation of the Netherland sat the Leipzig Book Fair
, we organized a creative corner in which
the visitors , young and old , could sit down and embrace their creativity
while listening to readings of Erna Sassen‘s newly translated novel ‘Een Indiaan
als jij en ik‘ in German.
To stimulate the visitors‘ creative output, illustrator and fellow
student Laura Kleinhans and I - initiated and under supervision of tutor Gert
Jan Pos prepared stamps in various geometrical shapes.
The drawings made by the visitors were put up on landscapes, which we had illustrated and hung up on the walls, and completed the scenery of Dutch sand dunes.
The technique of stamping as well as the choice of colour were directly linked to the illustrations in ‘Een indiaan als jij en ik‘ by Martijn van der Linden who joined us for some of the sessions.
